As an Iowa native, one would expect Fidone would get a lot of Big Ten love. That's definitely true, but his offer list extends all over the country, including several schools in the College Football Playoff hunt every year.
Alabama wanted him. So did Georgia and Ohio State. Fidone also received offers from programs such as Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas State, Minnesota, Missouri, Northwestern, Oklahoma State, Purdue, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UCLA, Utah, West Virginia, and Wisconsin, among several others. None of them made the final cut.
Fidone's final six include Notre Dame, Iowa, Penn State, Michigan, LSU, and Nebraska.
The Huskers are the team to beat, according to Rivals.com analyst Adam Gorney, but anything is possible at this point, especially during a long dead period due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
