Bo Jackson is a family man. He's been married to his wife, Linda, for more than 30 years after the two met at Auburn. He's a father to three children with her, and he spoiled them along the way during his pro sports careers.

There's no greater evidence that Bo Jackson was a great dad than what he did on July 21, 1990. The Kansas City Royals All-Star outfielder said he was playing in game the same day his daughter, Morgan Jackson, was born. So what did Bo do to make sure he could get to the hospital and spend time with his new daughter? He got ejected on purpose in his first at-bat.

Bo stepped to the plate for his first at-bat knowing full well what he was going to do. He took strike three right down the middle and immediately cussed out the umpire.
"I purposely took strike three right down the pipe, and I turn around and got into the ump's face and called him a name," Jackson told ESPN. "He threw me out the game and I said thank you."
Bo then headed straight to the locker room, didn't shower and changed his clothes before beelining it for the hospital. There, he was able to spend the day with his wife and his young daughter. Awesome.
I went back and tried to look for this ejection (or the game it happened in) and had some trouble. What I did find was that just a few days prior on July 17, Bo Jackson hit three home runs against the Yankees in a game that Deion Sanders also hit an inside-the-park home run. But there's no record of Bo Jackson ever playing in the Royals' July 21 game against the Red Sox that year.
Even if Bo has his dates mixed up, this is still a terrific story that shows what truly matters to him.
