Dancing NBA Fan Tries to Distract Players From Courtside Seat

It's one thing for a parent to embarrass their kid by dancing on the jumbotron at a sporting event. It's another to do something wild on national television on a Friday night. That's exactly what happened when this Utah Jazz fan decided to put on a show at Vivint Smart Home Arena for the raucous crowd and everyone else watching.

When you sit courtside at a NBA game, really anything goes. Some people just watch the game. Others heckle the opposing team. This guy took the trolling to a completely different level during timeouts by dancing right next to the Boston Celtics' bench, and when NBA players like Jayson Tatum were inbounding the ball.

Dancing Jazz Fan Sits Courtside

The temperature was somewhere in the 30s, if not colder, that night in Salt Lake City when the Jazz hosted former star player Gordon Hayward and the Boston Celtics, but it definitely didn't matter in this instance.

He wasn't just wearing a jersey — an old-school-looking one to support star guard Donovan Mitchell — but a complete uniform with matching shorts to make it that much more uncomfortable for Celtics players.

With that ticket likely having a price tag of, at the absolute very, very least, $1,000 each for a showdown the Jazz won 123-115 over the Celtics, who were without Kyrie Irving, it's pretty crazy to watch one man turn timeouts into a full-blown circus and energize the crowd that much more while also having the best seat in the house.

Utah fans were loving it, too.

Perhaps it was simply because he was feeling himself on that Friday and was ready to start the weekend off the right way. Maybe Joe Ingles scoring 27 points got him going. Heck, maybe it was planned by the Jazz players in advance.

The last scenario is likely out, but it doesn't change the fact of the matter:

This Jazz fan won't win Dancer of the Year anytime soon, but he took trolling to a new level and was a great mascot that night, especially in the second half.
