Derrick Henry is one of the best football players on the planet. The Tennessee Titans running back is a nightmare for any NFL defender to bring down. His 6-foot-3, 247-pound frame, blazing speed and signature stiff arm might have something to do with it. His success in the pros should come as no surprise to anyone who saw him play at Alabama, where he won the 2015 Heisman Trophy and a national championship for Nick Saban's Crimson Tide.
Throughout his career, the Heisman Trophy winner has preferred to let his play on the field do the talking. However, during his senior year at Yulee High School in Florida, the star running back delivered a pregame speech for the ages.

As Henry's Hornets were about to square off against Glades Day in a nationally televised matchup on ESPNU, the star running back gathered his teammates to set the tone.
"I do this day in and day out. All night long. This is all I think about. This is all I care about. Y'all all I care about. Let's go, man. It's here. We televised. So, you know we gotta show out. They talking tough, so you know we gotta put 'em to sleep. Let's go, man. Go play!
"We do this every day. We work too hard. Day in and day out like I told ya'll. Ya'll do what we do. Ya'll do what we do. They never done what we did. They say no Florida boys can play football. Them down south boys can. Let's show them where we at. They in the country. This ain't no rich city right here, boy. Aye, it's time to get it. Let's go. Dominate on three. One, two, three, DOMINATE!"
Dominate they did. Yulee won 42-6, and Henry contributed a little, too. The superstar rusher, who was called the Yulee Mule back then, ran for 363 yards and six touchdowns. It was just one game in his incredible, national record-breaking high school career.
We all know Henry makes a mockery of defenses, but his speech gave us a rare peak into his mentality. To boil it down, football is Henry's number one priority and he'll outwork everybody out there. Simple, short, sweet and the perfect mantra for a king.
