If you grew up a Florida Gators fan when Tim Tebow was winning national championships and rallying his team with incredible speeches in The Swamp, then you probably wanted to be Tim Tebow. I mean, who wouldn't want the title of greatest college quarterback of all time?
A best-selling author, college football analyst and Heisman Trophy winner, Tebow's fairytale life story gained another chapter when he dropped down to one knee and proposed to former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters at his family's farm in Jacksonville, Florida. Since making the South African model his fiancee, Tebow has been practicing his wedding dancing and sharing inspirational messages on Instagram.
Tebow is now officially off the market, as the couple tied the knot this in January 2020 in South Africa. Of course, the wedding photos will make you envious you weren't there saying "I do" alongside them. BUT the breathtaking and tear-jerking wedding video will make you feel like you are alongside them.
Tim Tebow and Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters' Wedding
Tebow and Nel-Peters exchanged their vows at a sunset ceremony at La Paris Estate in Cape Town, South Africa. According to People Magazine, the intimate and secluded ceremony featured less than 300 guests and included a keto-friendly cheesecake so Tebow could stick to his diet.
One of those guests was Florida head coach Dan Mullen, who appeared to have fun joining in on the festivities. Mullen was UF's offensive coordinator under Urban Meyer when Tebow played at the school.
The former NFL quarterback wore a tradition tuxedo while the Miss Universe 2017 winner and former Miss South Africa wore an elegant white dress.
"I've been looking forward to three things. The first moment I see her in her wedding dress, the first kiss, and the first dance together as man and wife. It's such a special night," he told People Magazine.
"I've been waiting my entire life for someone special, who I can spend the rest of my life with. I was waiting for the right person to come along. And now I'm marrying Demi. I can't wait to see what our future holds. All of my dreams have come true. It was 100 percent worth the wait."
Tebow first asked his bride to marry him in January 2019 with a 7.25-carat engagement ring. The New York Mets minor league baseball player confirmed to ESPN that he and Nel-Peters have been dating since at least July 2018.

Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters' Age and Background
The 24-year-old Nel-Peters was born in Sedgefeild, South Africa, and earned a bachelor's degree in business management and entrepreneurship from North-West University. While in school, she worked part-time as a model. A few days after graduating from the university in 2017, she won Miss South Africa 2017.
"She is a really special girl and I am very lucky and blessed for her coming into my life," he told ESPN. "I am usually very private with these things but I am very thankful."
The Tebow Honeymoon
After a gorgeous wedding in South Africa last month, Tim Tebow and Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters made their way to the Soneva Jani resort in the Maldives for a romantic honeymoon.
The happy couple spent what she called "11 days of UNREAL natural beauty" and the pictures definitely speak for themselves.
