During Elias' WrestleMania 35 segment, he was interrupted by John Cena, who returned with his "Doctor of Thuganomics" persona for the first time in over 15 years. Cena was able to bring back his freestyle rap bars to insult Elias, followed by a five knuckle shuffle and Attitude Adjustment. Although many were unhappy that the rumored match against Kurt Angle did not happen, the live WrestleMania crowd was happy with the alternative Cena appearance.
On Raw, Elias tried to do another performance, but started with doing version of battle-rapping with Cena. After stating that anyone who interrupts him is a "dead man", the lights turned off and the gong sounded. The Undertaker's music hit, and he walked to the ring with a thunderous ovation from the live crowd.
Elias had the decision to walked away or compete with Undertaker during their faceoff in the ring. After seemingly walking away, he ran over to the Undertaker in an attempt to attack him. Unfortunately, for Elias he ran right into a big boot, followed by a chokeslam and tombstone piledriver.
While The Deadman made a surprise appearance on WWE Raw, his absence from WrestleMania ended an 18-year streak of competing on the biggest event of the year.
Throughout his WWE career, Undertaker has build an incredibly impressive WrestleMania record. Winning his first at WrestleMania 7 in 1991 against Jimmy Snuka, Undertaker competed in the 1992 and 1993 WrestleMania events with wins against Jake Roberts and Giant Gonzalez, respectively. Along with the 1994 WrestleMania, Undertaker also missed WrestleMania 16 in 2000. Since then, the Undertaker returns at every WrestleMania until this year.

Undertaker is rumored to compete in the upcoming Saudi Arabia event on May 3. His last in-ring match was at the Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia on November 2, teaming with Kane in a loss against D-Generation X. He also lost to Triple H on October 6 at the Super Show-Down event in Melbourne, Australia.
Raw after WrestleMania last night also featured the return of Sami Zayn, and a main event pitting Universal Champion Seth Rollin and WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, which ended after an interruption by The Bar much to the dismay of the WWE Universe. Also, the final match of Dean Ambrose's WWE career took place, which included a final reunion by The Shield after the show ended.
