Groves-Killebrew is one of the most-heralded defensive backs in the 2022 recruiting class. He currently attends Brookwood High School in Snellville, Georgia, and has generated a ton of interest across the country.
He first garnered attention while attending Grayson High School, but he transferred after his freshman year.

Groves-Killebrew did not just have UGA clamoring for him. Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, and Texas A&M all made offers as well.
Being the first commitment comes with a degree of prestige. Head coach Kirby Smart is adept at keeping Georgia football players in-state, and Groves-Killebrew is no exception.
The lead recruiter was the assistant defensive backs coach for the Dawgs, Charlton Warren. The Bulldogs have been busy signing what they hope to be defensive stalwarts; OLB Darris Smith, lineman Tyre West, and CB Deyon Bouie will also be playing for the team in 2022.
Marquis Groves-Killebrew Highlights
There is a reason 247Sports ranks Groves-Killebrew as highly as they do. Before the 2020 season, he was named an All-American for his efforts in high school. His Broncos may have flamed out of the playoffs quickly, but Groves-Killebrew made great plays to keep them in contention the whole year.
Georgia's efforts in this recruiting cycle have to be making the rest of the SEC nervous.
From teams in the SEC East like Florida, Missouri, and Vanderbilt, to the more consistent contenders like Alabama and LSU in the SEC West, the Bulldogs are going to be a force over the next few seasons.
Players with real NFL potential like Marquis Groves-Killebrew are going to be the reason why.
