Florida State loses yet another senior starter ahead of bowl game

Yikes.

Florida State was already missing out on do-it-all senior Ermon Lane for the Independence Bowl, but now it looks like they'll be missing a senior linebacker in Matthew Thomas as well.

Thomas becomes the fourth Seminole to skip the bowl game, joining Lane, Josh Sweat and Derwin James. That thins down the defenders available to Florida State in what most thought would be an easy win. It's looking less and less like that as tight end Mavin Saunders is also transferring to Kansas giving the Seminoles fewer weapons.

Thomas finished the season with an interception, a scoop and score, 85 total tackles and 10 tackles for loss.
