The Alabama Crimson Tide achieved the thinkable in a wacky 2020 season.
While steamrolling their way to the College Football Playoff and manhandling Notre Dame and the Ohio State Buckeyes in the National Championship Game, head coach Nick Saban's national champion team put up some of the best numbers college football has ever seen under Heisman Trophy-winner DeVonta Smith and quarterback Mac Jones.
Now, Alabama football has the CFP hardware to show for their remarkable football season.

University of Alabama players and coaches received their national championship rings on Monday, April 19, and they are as beautiful as you'd expect.
Each ring was designed by jewelry company Jostens with intent. Front and center is the Alabama script "A" and three CFP trophies the school has won since 2015.
It contains 208 stones in total:
- 3 stones for their CFP National Championships, including the larger 2020 marquise stone.
- 18 princess-cut red stones representing the 18 national titles the school has won.
- 52 round cubic zirconias along the border for the 52 points scored in both the SEC Championship Game against Florida and National Championship against Ohio State
- 135 stones representing the total points scored by the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship, Rose Bowl and College Football Playoff National Championship
The sides of the rings are personalized with player name and jersey numbers as well as the final score of the national title game and an outline of Bryant-Denny Stadium. Alabama's famous rally cry, "Roll Tide," is also highlighted in gold along the palm of the ring.
Players and coaches also received their SEC Championship rings and Rose Bowl rings during the ceremony.

You might think a massive ring with more than 200 stones would be worth a boatload, but that isn't the case.
Per USA Today's For The Win, NCAA guidelines mandate that each student-athlete can only receive $415 worth of gifts for winning a national championship and $325 for winning the SEC title.
That means each ring costs no more than $415. That's standard. Clemson's 2018 national title rings cost $415 and LSU's 2019 version fell within the NCAA limit, too.
According to USA Today, most of the college football rings these days don't use real diamonds or rubies either. Instead, they're colored stones made to look identical to the pricy ones. That's vastly different from the NFL's Super Bowl rings or MLB's World Series rings, for example.
Jostens crafted the hand bling monsters like they've done for years.
