South Carolina's Deebo Samuel Just Gave Georgia Even More Bulletin Board Material

The biggest game of week two in the SEC is No. 3 Georgia traveling to play No. 24 South Carolina. It's a huge game that could likely decide which team represents the SEC East in the conference's title game later in December.

The matchup, which is dead-even at four wins apiece over the last eight contests, will feature All-SEC talent all over the field, but one matchup in particular stands above the rest. Georgia's All-American cornerback Deandre Baker will shadow South Carolina's All-American all-purpose receiver Deebo Samuel. Problem is, Deebo Samuel claims to not know who Deandre Baker is.

During his media availability on Tuesday, the first question the redshirt senior heard was about going up against Georgia's best defensive player.

Samuel responded with one word: "Who?"

Samuel followed up by saying that he hadn't watched much of Baker play on film yet, which sounds fine in most instances. There are tons of college football players, and Samuel was sidelined for last season's game against the Bulldogs with a broken leg, so maybe he just never got a chance to play?

Except for the fact that the two played against each other in 2016, where Samuel racked up 90 yards on four catches, and Baker made seven tackles and recovered a fumble in Georgia's 28-14 win.

Samuel went on to say that he did remember having "a pretty good game" that year, too.

Oh, and one of Samuel's catches came with Deandre Baker draped all over him.

Moral of the story: Deebo Samuel knows EXACTLY who Deandre Baker is.

This isn't the first piece of bulletin board material Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs will be getting for this week's game, either.

Former South Carolina wide receiver Tori Gurley was a guest on the Paul Finebaum Show, and he guaranteed that the Gamecocks would win the game at home over the Bulldogs.

In turn, Georgia printed out 48 copies of the "guarantee" and have posted them all over the Bulldogs' football facilities for this week.

Deebo Samuel and South Carolina are treading into very dangerous territory. Georgia is the No. 3 ranked team in the nation for a reason: They're a College Football Playoff contender than can beat the brakes off of any team, anywhere.

The Gamecocks have talent that includes NFL-caliber quarterback Jake Bentley, but Kirby Smart's team is loaded on all three levels of its defense, can run and pass the ball at will, and they happen to have Rodrigo Blankenship, the Associated Press' preseason second-team All-American kicker.

It's either going to be another classic matchup of two SEC programs, or the Gamecocks have just dug themselves into a whole so deep that they won't be able to see the sunset in South Carolina this Saturday.
