College football fans, you're going to want to remember the name Dametrious Crownover. The tight end prospect with a massive 6-foot-6, 275-pound frame has committed to play for the Texas A&M Aggies next season.

Crownover, who hails from Grandview, Texas, was heavily recruited before announcing his commitment in October 2020. He turned down offers from programs such as Alabama, Arizona State, Auburn, Baylor, Colorado, Georgia, Kansas, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Texas, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Purdue, Southern Miss, TCU, Texas Tech and Tulsa.
Although there was a great deal of competition, Jimbo Fisher's squad undoubtedly had the leg up on obtaining the tight end's services. The Aggies already have Dametrious's older brother, running back Earnest Crownover, on the current roster.
Earnest took to social media to congratulate his brother on his decision, presumably thrilled to have him as a teammate once again in College Station.

Three-star tight end Dametrious Crownover has been a dominant player at Grandview High School in his home state of Texas. In addition to his duties on offense, he also plays defensive end.
His 6-foot-6, 275-pound frame made him a standout amongst his fellow high school opponents and it is no wonder that he was nominated to be a Sports Illustrated All-American last fall.
Crownover, the No. 19 tight end in the country by the 247Sports Composite, is a dual-sport athlete, playing varsity basketball as well. As a result, he has received praise for his athleticism on both the field and the court.
Dametrious Crownover Highlights
Despite his commitment to playing tight end at the college level, there are far more videos of Crownover playing defense and wreaking havoc on opposing quarterbacks.
Texas A&M is hopeful that his basketball background and sheer size will be enough to have his skills translate to the offense as well, but there may be a bit of a learning curve, so Aggies fans are going to have to be patient with his development.
Should he ever make it to the NFL, announcers can use the "basketball player-turned-tight end" cliche on him instead of Jimmy Graham. The only former Texas A&M tight end currently playing in the NFL is Jace Sternberger of the Green Bay Packers. Who knows, he could become the next Martellus Bennett.
If Dametrious Crownover reaches his potential, he may join that club. Aggies fans will have to wait and see but the Jimbo Fisher 2021 recruiting class prospect most certainly looks the part.
