How Good is Alabama? Vegas Oddsmaker Says No Other Team is Even Close

BREAKING: the Alabama Crimson Tide are really good. Only one voter of the weekly Associated Press poll thought the Crimson Tide didn't deserve the No. 1 ranking after starting the season 4-0, but everyone else in the country can see their dominance week after week. From a historically good offense to your typical dominating defense, its really up the Crimson Tide how good they want to be.

But just how good is Nick Saban's 2018 team? We won't have a clear picture until the end of the year, but at least one Las Vegas oddsmaker thinks they're head and shoulders above every other team in the country.

So, how good are they? The MGM Resorts Sportsbook would have the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide as at least a 10-point favorite over every other top team in the nation.

Yeah, the Tide are THAT good.

A representative for the Las Vegas oddsmakers at MGM told CBS Sports that these lines would drop by about three points if they played these teams on the road. So instead of being a double-digit home favorite, the Tide would be at least a touchdown favorite as a road team over every program in the country.

Wow.

Heisman Trophy candidate Tua Tagovailoa is on pace to break the NCAA single season record for passing efficiency, and he's leading the conference in completion percentage (72.5) and touchdown passes (12), all without having thrown an interception yet this season.

On the other side of the ball, defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs is tied for the conference lead with 5.0 sacks, defensive back Trevon Diggs leads the SEC with five passes defended, and All-American safety Deionte Thompson is tied for the conference lead with two interceptions so far in 2018.

This team is incredible, but to be 10-plus points better than everybody? That's the recipe for an all-time great team if they keep this up.

Sorry Louisiana-Lafayette, you're next...
