A great wide receiver is a good quarterback's best friend. That's likely the idea the Oakland Raiders had when they decided to trade for Antonio Brown this past week. The franchise knew quarterback Derek Carr needed a new superstar buddy, but let's just hope their connection on the field is better than the first impression the new tandem gave in the Bay Area on Wednesday afternoon.

Brown, the seven-time Pro Bowl selection and four-time All-Pro receiver, arrived in sunny California earlier this week for his introductory press conference after the Raiders traded a third- and fifth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft to the Pittsburgh Steelers to get him. AB also needed a make a special visit to really make it official.
So with a camera crew following him, Brown arrived at quarterback Derek Carr's house to get the NFL's new bromance underway. Needless to say, the two were excited to finally be teammates.
Yet, the "special delivery" turned out to be an awkward moment on social media, even by the Raiders' standards.

Look, people do weird things when they are on camera. That's human nature. But have you ever watched something so cheesy and forced than the first video evidence of these two as Raiders teammates?
There's been more compelling storylines on Days of Our Lives than this.
Now, when the cameras were turned off, the conversation probably got a lot more real, but we got three awkward hugs and some forgettable small talk to chew on and spit out.
Turns out, that's just how the wide receiver Antonio Brown is. Then again, when you are in a new place and have millions in the bank account, you can kind of act this way around your new quarterback and new team, including head coach Jon Gruden.
With 837 catches, 11,207 receiving yards, and 74 receiving touchdowns in his career, Brown will undoubtedly help the Raiders' offense next season in Oakland and in the future in Las Vegas.
Maybe it's just weird to see Brown on a different team, but, goodness, this was just really awkward all the way around.
