Since he entered the league — well, actually since his Heisman days at Florida State — Jameis Winston has been touted for his leadership abilities. He's been labeled as a quarterback who can not only sling the ball around the field, but one who can inspire his teammates on both sides of the ball.

And everyone knows the pre-game speech can have a huge impact on the energy a team has to start a game.
Do you see where we're going with this? Part of Winston's job, as the quarterback, is to instill that energy, to bring out the hunger in his team. Although, it appears the ex-Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback took that part of the job description a little too seriously in 2017.
This has to be one of the most interesting pump-up speeches ever given in the history of the NFL.

"I just gotta say one thing. I want everybody to look at me. I'm going to pass this to [Kwon Alexander] after I say one thing."
*Jameis proceeds to lick all of his fingers in a 'W' shape*
"That's a W. Let's eat one. Let's eat one. That's a W. How many people want to eat a W tonight? I'm gonna eat a W tonight. That's all I want."

Considering the fact the Buccaneers lost to the New Orleans Saints, 30-10, it's probably safe to say Tampa Bay went home hungry.
Also, if you're going to march into The Big Easy and try to deliver a hype speech in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, you better bring your A-game.
You know, the Saints have a guy capable of providing some extra special pre-game speeches, too.
This article was originally published November 5, 2017. Winston joined the New Orleans Saints for the 2020 season, so hopefully he'll get some speech advice from Drew Brees himself.
