The official start of NFL's new league year meant the often-discussed new Collective Bargaining Agreement was passed. The next 10 years of labor peace includes no suspensions for positive marijuana tests and new revenue splits between owners and players. The most important change is the advent of a 17-game regular season and brand new playoff format where seven teams from each conference make the postseason.

In the midst of coronavirus shutdowns across the sports world, the beginning of the NFL Free Agency period did not disappoint. DeAndre Hopkins was traded to the Arizona Cardinals. Stefon Diggs is now a Buffalo Bill. Nick Foles heads to the Chicago Bears, signaling the end of the Mitchell Trubisky experiment. Detroit Lions star Darius Slay will join the Philadelphia Eagles.
The biggest names on the free agent market this offseason were quarterbacks. Ryan Tannehill signed a $118 million contract to remain with the Tennessee Titans. Marcus Mariota is now a member of the Las Vegas Raiders. Philip Rivers heads to the Indianapolis Colts on a one-year deal.
None, however, were as polarizing as Tom Brady.
The six-time Super Bowl champion and 14-time Pro Bowl selection left the New England Patriots after 20 seasons. Warm weather and a $30 million per year contract seemed inevitable, but who would offer that to the 42-year-old? The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made the splash. Pending his physical, TB12 is headed to Florida.
Not everyone is ecstatic about the move, though.

Twitter user Justin McCant shared a video of his father, who appears to be the most die-hard Bucs fan you'll ever see, losing his mind when the news broke that Brady was heading south. The addition of Brady means the subtraction of Jameis Winston, who led the NFL in passing yards last season despite being the first quarterback in league history with 30 touchdowns and 30 interceptions in the same season.
Dad was furious, and that's putting it mildly.
"I'm so sick of y'all. That. This. I'm sick of y'all. Let's do it this way, O.K.?" Dad says as he packs up his Buccaneers gear and tosses the box out the door.
"Dad, it's not the end of the world."
Oh, yes it is.
"It's all about Jameis, baby. All about Jameis. I'm sick of this garbage. THIS AIN'T GONNA WORK! It is the end of the world!
"Tom Brady under center. Back to pass with his little walker. Gets the... uh... AH. No, it ain't gonna be better! He'll be in the shower with the little grab bar so he don't slip and fall. The old man rubbing his little wrinkled titties. IT IS OVER!"
