Tom Brady Has a Soft Spot for His 4 Dogs

Former New England Patriots and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and his supermodel wife Gisele Bündchen are one of sports' marquee power couples.

Virtually anything the pair does is placed under a microscope and overanalyzed by fans and members of the media.

Well, football fans are likely familiar with the Brady clan, including Brady's three children, but not everyone is quite as familiar with the family dogs.

Tom and Gisele are adamant dog lovers, and own four pooches whom they cherish dearly.

The first of Brady and Gisele's dogs is a pit bull mix named Lua. Lua has been with the family since 2014, and has even been called the favorite by the six-time Super Bowl champ himself.

Lua was featured alongside Tom in a commercial for UGG, which Brady is sponsored by.

In addition to Lua, Brady also owns a beagle named Scooby. The NFL star added Scooby to the family a few years ago, adopting him without even consulting Gisele.

The AKC Grand Champion has fit right in with the Brady family, and is often featured in the couple's social media pics.

After Brady brought home Scooby sans consultation, Gisele clapped back with a new family member of her own, adding Fluffy to the clan without asking Tom.

Fluffy, a small black and white dog, who is also a rescue, was described by Gisele as being "pure joy" in a social media post thanking Wags and Walks, a Los Angeles based shelter.

The Bradys also have another dog named Onyx to hang out with Lua.

Brady's Boston home was busy and very animal friendly. The dogs are said to be massive Patriots fans, and cheered Tom on alongside the rest of the family during Super Bowl LI and the rest of his career against teams like the Houston Texans and Atlanta Falcons.

But while Brady is a passionate dog lover, that relationship hasn't always been a two-way street.

The quarterback revealed that he's been bitten by dogs on a couple of occasions, including once at Gillette Stadium by a military K-9, which Brady later described as not being "like a labrador."

Still, that incident wasn't enough to shake his love for dogs. Not by a long shot.

This post was originally published on December 25, 2020, and updated to list Scooby as an AKC Grand Champion.
