It may have been a track meet to McNeal, but to normal-speed humans, it was a 2004 college football game at Kyle Field.

The Kansas State Wildcats struck first to go up 7-0. The Texas A&M Aggies rebounded to tie the game, and built a 35-17 to start the fourth quarter.

K-State wasn't out of it yet. QB Dylan Meier threw two touchdown passes to bring the Wildcats within five.

Now 35-30, all the momentum was on Kansas State's side.

With 48 ticks on the clock, the Aggies needed to put the game away. McNeal took it into his own hands.

He took the snap, waited a bit for the offensive line to do its work, and took off down the seam.

He kicked it into high gear when he split two defensive backs to take it to the house.

The 62-yard touchdown sealed the victory for TAMU.

At that point, all the Aggies were hoping for was a first down. Anything to keep the rolling Wildcat offense off the field.

The blazing run to extend the lead didn't hurt, either. It did hurt to see Kansas state head coach Bill Snyder upset. Luckily for Texas A&M, Tom Brady wasn't on the other sideline and they didn't leave too much time on the clock.

The win started the 2004 Big 12 season off on the right note. It was the Aggies' third win in a row after dropping the opening game to Utah.

McNeal finished the game with 129 passing yards, 84 rushing yards, and a pair of touchdowns.

It was his final touchdown that was the most welcome, and definitely the most impressive.
