Adam Thielen

It's Time You Put Some Respect on Adam Thielen’s Name

Adam Thielen might not have caught the Minnesota Miracle last season or have a $15,000 Starbucks diamond chain like Minnesota Vikings teammate Stefon Diggs. He's not as fast as Tyreek Hill or as explosive as Odell Beckham Jr., either. But you better put some respect on his name right now for how he is dominating the NFL at the wide receiver position.

Coming off a Pro Bowl and second-team All-Pro season with 91 catches for 1,276 yards and four touchdowns in 2017, the 6-foot-3 wide receiver from Minnesota State leads the entire NFL with 58 receptions for 712 receiving yards with four scores in 2018.

Thielen's production has prompted former NFL safety and current ESPN football analyst Ryan Clark to start recognizing how good the Vikings receiver truly is.

Clark, an LSU alum who played for the New York Giants, Washington Redskins and Pittsburgh Steelers from 2002-2014, posted his original opinion on Twitter on Sunday during the Minnesota Viking's 27-17 win over the Arizona Cardinals — a game where Thielen had 11 catches for 123 yards and a touchdown at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota — before doubling down on the opinion via Instagram.

"Please don't use 'Smart' 'Hard working' 'dependable' 'gym rat' when speaking of Adam Thielen. Dude is a baller [and] can do it all. So dang talented. — Ryan Clark, via Twitter

It's hard to disagree with anyone on this. Thielen has been a stud over the last three seasons and has certainly made a name for himself since being undrafted in 2013.

It doesn't take rocket science to figure out how effective Thielen is on the football field, and you better believe Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins loves throwing to Thielen, too.

So when you start having those debates about the best wide receivers in the game today, don't you dare forget to include Adam Thielen because he's earned it.
