Due to his mainstream popularity, Brock Lesnar is undoubtedly the hottest commodity in WWE. After what was thought to be his last match at SummerSlam following a loss against Roman Reigns, Lesnar returned at the following Hell in a Cell to wreck the main event match between Reigns and Braun Strowman. This led to a scheduled match at the Saudi Arabia Crown Jewel event between Reigns, Lesnar and Strowman.

Unfortunately though, Reigns was forced to step away from pro wrestling altogether following a shocking announcement that he is once again battling leukemia. This left the scheduled triple threat match to change to a one-on-one match pitting Lesnar against Strowman.
When Lesnar defeated the "Monster Among Men," fans were shocked, due to the belief that Lesnar was leaving WWE to return to UFC. However, Lesnar became the first-ever two-time holder of the Universal Championship, and will remain with WWE for the foreseeable future.

Since he is now scheduled to compete at WrestleMania 35, there is already speculation on who his opponent will be. According to Sky Bet (via The Floor Seat), betting odds are strongly in favor of Lesnar competing against WWE legend The Rock. This decision is also amid reported frustrations from talent backstage over Lesnar's "bullet proof" status.
Although WWE once again has to pull on past names to create a marquee feel, a reignited Rock vs. Brock feud from 2002 would certainly generate interest. Since both Rock and Reigns are members of the Samoan wrestling dynasty, it would be easy to formulate an interesting angle of The Rock competing against Lesnar in honor of Reigns.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson did reveal in 2013 that there were talks of possibly having a match against Lesnar at WrestleMania 31, but instead that was replaced with Rock doing an in-ring segment withe Ronda Rousey opposing Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
While this match is undoubtedly a box office draw, the problem lies in who is planning on staying with WWE after WrestleMania is over. For many years, Rock has been a very popular movie star, so he is simply unable to commit to the WWE schedule as champion.
Lesnar has experienced long absences as champion, but if his current short-term contract is up at WrestleMania, WWE would have to once again draw up another contract for The Beast with the major hurdle of him planning on returning to UFC next year.
