It's a lot to digest.
Lefty quarterbacks—like a left-handed batter, hooper or golfer— always seem to have the prettiest form and softest touch. Couldn't tell you why, but they just do.
Former Auburn quarterback Brandon Cox was one of those guys. Cox inked his name in the record books during his three years as a starter. He made Auburn fans cheer. He made Alabama fans jeer.

Quarterback Brandon Cox arrived at Auburn University by way of Hewitt-Trussville High School. He was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis, a rare muscular disorder, as a high school sophomore. Cox continued to play and performed well enough to earn a college football scholarship.
The Alabama native redshirted as a freshman and then served as Jason Campbell's backup for a year before taking over the offense in 2005.
Cox led the Auburn Tigers to a 29-9 record in his three years as starter. He threw for 6,959 yards and 42 touchdowns against 32 interceptions.
The lefty took care of Arkansas multiple times and suffered a setback in his first game as starter in a loss against Georgia Tech, but when rivalry week rolled around, Cox was at his best.

He went a perfect 3-0 against the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Iron Bowl and 2-0 against top-five Florida teams. Cox also quarterbacked the Tigers in the program's last win on the road against Georgia.

Cox graduated with a degree in business administration in 2007. He passed on the NFL to work in medical sales in Birmingham for a few years out of college.
Now, according to his LinkedIn, the 37-year-old Cox is the director of business development for Hoar Construction in Atlanta.
The former Auburn quarterback explained how his time on The Plains helped his post-NCAA career:
"The biggest thing I have taken away from (my time at Auburn) is just the work ethic. I never really expected to be the starting quarterback. I just went back (after a redshirt year) thinking, 'get a degree, work hard and get an education.'"
Brandon married Carlo Toro in 2017, and the couple has two children. Cox posted an adorable video of first-born son Peyton meeting little brother Parker for the first time.

Cox didn't make the flashiest plays, but he showed up and gave his all every time he took the field. He follows the same mantra today.
