DJ Justice, Son of MLB Legend, Set to Play Major College Football

Wide receiver DJ Justice has been praised for his athleticism on the football field.

His time at Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills, California, went exceptionally well, and he has the profile of a player who can make some noise in college football.

Justice is the son of former MLB outfielder David Justice, who played for the Atlanta Braves and New York Yankees, among other teams.

DJ may not be playing his father's sport, but it's easy to see where the athletic genes come from.

In 2020, the wideout committed to play for head coach Chip Kelly and the UCLA Bruins.

DJ Justice was a hot commodity on the recruiting circuit.

Arizona State, Auburn, Colorado, Miami, Oregon, and Utah all reached out to the receiver. Ultimately, the UCLA football recruiting pitch won out.

Justice made his commit official during the Early Signing Period and on National Signing Day.

UCLA's standing in the Pac-12 has dropped off in recent years, but they can still put together a decent recruiting class.

Justice will be joining some four-star and three-star recruits, including Quintin Somerville, Thomas Cole, and fellow wide receivers Keontez Lewis, Isaiah Newcombe, and Ezavier Staples.

WR DJ Justice Highlights

Fall sports in California were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, but Justice has done enough to impress scouts despite the long layoff.

Working with star USC QB recruit Miller Moss, Bishop Alemany was one of the best high school football programs in Los Angeles in 2019. Justice totaled 707 yards and eight touchdowns as the Warriors made the playoffs.

Justice is ready for the NCAA, coming in with a three-star ranking from 247Sports. He has NFL aspirations, but he is going to have to work hard in college to achieve them.

DJ Justice is bringing a certain athletic pedigree to UCLA in 2021. He has the tools to unleash his potential and will be a name to watch going forward.
