Nick Saban is so accustomed to throttling his SEC "rivals" (let's be honest, it's not a rivalry when it's one-sided) that he can't even believe it when another head coach trash talks him.

When Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher was caught on tape at the Houston Touchdown Club this week saying he would "beat his ass" while Saban was still in Tuscaloosa, even the crowd in front of him laughed. Probably a nervous laugh, too.
When the 69-year-old seven-time national champion was told his old pal would beat him soon, Saban delivered the perfect response.

The original quote from the Aggies coach was as follows: "We're going to beat his ass when he's there, don't worry."
Saban was asked by WKRG reporter Simone Eli if he had any response to that, and boy did his answer not disappoint.
"In golf?" he said with a smirk, holding in laughter.
"Well, I'm sure there will come a day, you know. Is that what he's talking about, football? Oh he was? He used to be on my noon-time basketball league. I guess we're no longer partners when it comes to that."
Perfect.
Saban went on to give his buddy Jimbo some props by calling them an "up-and-coming" program. That sounds like a nice way of saying the Aggies aren't quite in the same boat as the Alabama Crimson Tide, even after finishing No. 4 in the final college football rankings last season.
Fisher is 0-3 against Saban since he landed the head coaching job in College Station. The Aggies were walloped 52-24 in 2020 by Saban's squad that featured Mac Jones, DeVonta Smith and Najee Harris.
Saban and Fisher obviously go way back. Fisher served as Saban's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach when the two were at LSU from 2000-2004. They won a national title in Baton Rouge in 2003 together.
Fisher went on to win a national championship at Florida State University. Meanwhile, Saban has won six rings at Alabama since taking over in 2007.
The 2021 season could have some SEC surprises in store for us, but I'm not quite sure a TAMU win over 'Bama is part of that. Remember this clip if it happens, though.
