Johnny Damon was arrested on suspicion of DUI on February 18 near Orlando, Florida, after Windermere police pulled him over for swerving and hitting a curb while driving a black SUV. Body camera footage was released on March 9.
In the video, Damon's wife, Michelle Mangan-Damon, can be heard asking "what's happening?" before yelling at a police officer "don't f***ing touch me!" during a struggle to get both of them back in the car.
The bizarre video of the former MLB outfielder continued. Damon is handcuffed before saying "blue lives matter." Later in the video, he claims that he's "a good f***ing guy" and that "people are trying to target me because I'm a Trump supporter."
According to the New York Post, Damon had a blood alcohol level between .294 and .300. TMZ claimed via a police report that it was .300, which is almost four times the Florida state legal limit of .08.
Police took Damon through a field sobriety test, during which he tells an officer "I'm good, bro."
The Boston Globe reported that Damon was charged with driving under the influence and resisting an officer without violence. His wife was also arrested on charges of battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest with violence.
The Globe also reported the 47-year-old former Major League Baseball player and his wife pled not guilty to their respective charges.
